Realize......the
difference at
Balsam Bay Resort
As our guests, we
invite you to share with us in the wonder of watching a majestic
Eagle
soar overhead, hearing the cry of the elusive Loon, and seeing the spectacular
sunsets over the lake.
We offer two types of
accommodations for the vacationer: Six modern housekeeping
cabins each tastefully decorated in a different theme, and our new RV Park
campground
equipped for any size recreational vehicle; whether it's just for a short
get-a-way or
to become your seasonal 'home away from home', our spacious wooded sites are
sure to please.
We currently have
one seasonal RV site available for the 2008 season!
If it's fish you're
looking for, Big Sand Lake is the place for Northern, Walleye, Crappie,
Largemouth Bass, and Bluegill.
Swimming, Canoeing, Hiking,
Biking, Bird watching, and ATV
riding are just a few more of the activities you can choose to enjoy while
staying in this area; not to mention the numerous gift shops, restaurants, golf courses, historical
and recreational sites
all within an easy drive from Balsam Bay Resort.
Our on-site facilities include a game room
where you can play pool, foosball, board games, read a book or watch TV. There is horseshoes,
a campfire near the lake, children's playground, paddle boats, canoe,
and pontoon boat. Our newest addition is a
16' X 40' heated swimming pool
for you to enjoy from early June through Labor Day.
(Closed in inclement weather)
Take a look: we aren't the biggest or
fanciest resort; we
don't plan a lot of
'scheduled' activities or have expansive recreational facilities, but
what we do offer
is comfortable and very clean accommodations at an affordable price for a family
to enjoy a true Minnesota Northwood's
experience.
When you choose a Minnesota vacation, consider
Balsam Bay Resort for your destination.
