Therese Kunz has been creating art for the past twenty-five years in the mediums of oil and watercolor painting, pastel, found-object sculpture and collage. Her artwork has been exhibited in numerous juried art shows and art galleries in MN including the Duluth Art Institute, the Tweed Museum of Art and a solo show at the MacRostie Art Center in Grand Rapids. Therese is the recipient of the 2009 forecast Public Art Grant for the creation of a public artwork to be installed at the Remer Depot this fall. Therese is an enthusiastic and passionate teacher who believes artistic confidence and skills can be developed in everyone. Therese Kunz is an experienced playwright, director and producer. Her two full-length plays have been developed at the Playwrights' Center in Minneapolis and the Centenary Stage Company in New Jersey. She has produced and directed four of her original one act plays for local community theater. Therese knows art transforms lives and strives to be a part of that. She has developed and taught fine art and drama programs and workshops for the past ten years, founding Screen Porch Productions, Inc. a nonprofit arts organization dedicated to providing area communities with education and opportunity in the arts. |
