If you enjoy scouting out the local wildlife, commemorating your biggest catch out on the boat, or creating a photo book of all your vacation memories you’ll want to make sure to pack your camera when you vacation at Balsam Bay Resort! We are situated on the southeast corner of the Chippewa National Forest, which has the largest population of nesting bald eagles in the lower 48. There are also many varieties of wildflowers, gorgeous sunsets, and endless other photo opportunities. Check out our Photo Gallery and get a quick peek at the sights you’ll see at our MN resort.
“Don’t leave your camera at home!! My wife and I enjoy bird watching so we brought our binoculars, but we were kicking ourselves when we realized we left our camera at home. We counted three bald eagles while we were staying at Balsam Bay Resort last summer. One was an immature eagle that swooped down and caught a fish right in front of our cabin. I’ll never forget it!”
